Natural Stone Countertops
in Flagstaff, AZ
Marble, quartzite, travertine, and exotic stone — premium natural surfaces for kitchens and bathrooms that no engineered material can replicate.
For Clients Who Want Something Genuinely Unique
Natural stone countertops are the one material category where no two homes will ever look the same. Every slab of marble, quartzite, or exotic stone comes from a specific quarry, a specific moment in geological time — and it shows. The depth and movement you get in a natural slab is something engineered materials have always tried and never succeeded in copying.

Natural Stone Must Be Seen in Person
This is more true for natural stone than any other material. Photos flatten the depth, misrepresent the color, and completely miss the movement in the slab. We strongly recommend visiting our showroom at 2308 N Fourth St before selecting a natural stone material.

Natural Stone FAQ — Flagstaff, AZ
Is marble a good countertop for kitchen use?
Marble is beautiful but requires more care in kitchens than granite or quartz. It's porous and can etch from acidic foods (citrus, tomato, wine) if left to sit. In bathrooms, marble is an excellent choice — lower acid exposure and the luxury look is stunning. In kitchens, marble works best for homeowners who use cutting boards consistently and seal the stone regularly. We discuss these trade-offs openly before you commit.
What is quartzite and how is it different from quartz?
Quartzite is a natural metamorphic rock — sandstone compressed and heated until the quartz grains fuse. It's harder than granite, doesn't etch like marble, and is available in dramatic white and grey veined slabs that rival Calacatta marble. Quartz (engineered) is a manufactured product with resin binders. Quartzite is pure natural stone with similar maintenance requirements to granite (annual sealing).
What natural stone options do you carry beyond granite?
We carry marble (Calacatta, Statuario, Carrara varieties), quartzite (White Macaubas, Sea Pearl, Mont Blanc), travertine, soapstone, and select exotic stone slabs from our distributors. Inventory changes — visit our showroom or call us to see what slabs are currently available.
How much more does natural stone cost versus engineered countertops?
Premium natural stone (marble, quartzite) typically runs $80–$200+ per square foot installed — more than standard quartz or granite. The cost reflects the material rarity, slab-matching complexity, and fabrication precision required for natural stone. For clients who want truly unique, one-of-a-kind countertops, it's worth every dollar.
